A remodel should not mean six phone numbers and a job site nobody owns. Guillen Construction runs your kitchen, bathroom, whole-home remodel, or addition with our own crews across the trades that matter — demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and finish — so the schedule holds and one contractor answers for the result.
We work across the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, and Orange County, and we handle the unglamorous parts too: engineering, permits, and inspections. You get a written scope and a milestone payment schedule before we swing a hammer.
Layout changes, cabinets, counters, lighting, and appliances — including moving walls, gas, and plumbing the right way, with permits.
Full gut renovations, tub-to-shower conversions, waterproofing done to spec, and tile work our crews stand behind.
Open up floor plans, replace aging systems, and modernize the whole house under one contract and one schedule.
Bedrooms, family rooms, and primary suites — foundation to finish, matched to the existing house so it never looks bolted on.
Engineering, shoring, framing, and full build-out when the lot can't grow outward but the family already has.
Plans, structural calcs, Title 24, and city plan check handled for you — we deal with the building department so you don't.
Typical Los Angeles-area ranges for planning purposes — every house is different. We quote a fixed written scope after a free on-site walkthrough.
We meet at your property, listen, measure, and give you straight answers — including the ones you didn't ask for. Estimates are free.
A written, line-item scope with a milestone payment schedule that follows California law. Plans, engineering, and permits handled.
Our own crews, a clean site, and a schedule we actually keep. You get one point of contact and updates you don't have to chase.
We punch the list to zero, pass final inspection, and stand behind the work after the trucks leave.
Once permits are issued and materials are on hand, most kitchens run 6–10 weeks and most bathrooms 3–5 weeks. We build the schedule into your contract and tell you immediately if anything moves it.
If the work touches structure, plumbing, gas, or electrical — yes. We pull the permits, schedule the inspections, and build to pass them. Unpermitted work becomes your problem at sale or refinance time, so we don't do it.
Usually, yes. We phase the work, seal off dust, and keep water and power running each night. For whole-home remodels we'll tell you honestly which weeks will be rough.
California law caps the down payment on home improvement work at $1,000 or 10%, whichever is less — and that's exactly how we contract. After that you pay for completed milestones, never ahead of the work.
Free on-site estimates. Straight answers on price, permits, and timeline — no runaround.
We reply within one business day — usually faster.
